12-2010

I have two machines running Trixbox using IAX2 trunking. There are many examples to choose from but this one worked for me IAX2 trunking I am able to place calls to either 'Site A' or 'Site B' Next is ACD, IVR and Ring Groups. Maybe a SIP trunk to test with.

11-2010

I have been programming NEC branded telecommunications equipment for over 15 years.

The latest round of hardware from NEC now has IP telephony built in. Prior to this, the previous platforms did support VOIP but it was a bolted on feature.

True IP phone support is no available as well as SIP trunking. This marks something of a departure point for telephone communications. Now, we are IP enabled from the desktop to the cloud.

Trixbox is a free and open PBX platform and this is my first attempt at setting up a Trixbox network.
